🍄 Farm Class FAQs 🍄

Can siblings/parents participate?

For other farm classes, all children between the ages of 6-11 are welcome to register, these classes are drop-off/pick-up only.

If you would like to visit with your whole family, please check out our Farm Tours page and come see us!

We also offer on the farm birthday experiences!

Can we sign up for part-time?

We do not offer part-time sessions, our sessions usually have a flow designed to focus on a new barnyard animal group each week.

Will the children be interacting with the animals?

Yes! Each week we will have a specific farm focus that includes hands-on animal interactions. Children will be educated on animal welfare, physical care; including: feeding, grooming, socializing, teaching tricks, medicinal needs & clean-up!

How do drop-offs/pick-ups work?

Drop-Offs: We will meet you in-front of the farm for quick drop-offs with no need to park or leave the car! If arriving more than 15 minutes after your class time, please contact us via text so we can have someone available to receive your child, anyone can drop your child off.

Pick-Ups: We will bring your child out to your vehicle for quick pick-ups with no need to park! If someone other than the registered parents/guardians will be picking up your child, please contact us via text with your child's full name as well as the full name of the adult picking them up.

*Please note, there is a $1/min late fee due at the time of pickup, Venmo, Zelle or Cash

This money goes into a fun 'jar' the Jr. Farmers get to spend.

Can I walk my child in?

Yes! If you would like to walk your child in please park on Chase St. along the park, please help keep our farm open and DO NOT park on Keokuk Ave., we recommend leave 10 minutes to park and walk-in.

Once we begin our opening class circle, we ask that only children registered for the class be present.

What do children need to wear?

  • hat/sunglasses, sun screen applied prior (if parent chooses)

  • close toed shoes (no crocs/charms)

  • comfortable clothing (that can get dusty/wet/crafty)

What to bring to class?

  • full water bottle (water only, we will refill water/ice throughout the day)

  • snack (we will do hand washing and have time for snacks prior to pickup)

  • beach towel for ground cover

Can we bring snacks to feed the animals?

Yes! The animals love treats!

  • Sliced apples, romaine lettuce heads, baby carrots

Are there makeups for missed dates?

Unless the farm has to close due to unforeseen circumstances, class will be running! We are unable to provide makeups. If the farm closes for the day families will be contacted regarding credit.

What if we know we will be late/our child will be absent?

If we have not heard from you 15 minutes after class has begun, we will assume your child is not attending and there is no need to message us.

If you will be arriving more than 15 minutes after your class has begun, please text to let us know your eta. so we can have someone available to receive your child.

How do bathrooms work?

We have a single private bathroom on the barnyard, all campers must be self-sufficient in using the bathroom on their own, (outside of our Mommie & Chickies)

💕 Inspired by and Dedicated to: Saba 💕

Step into Grandpas place and feel his presence with you.

Saba’s farm was more than a place — it was a gentle doorway into wonder, where children arrived curious and left with compassion in their hearts.

At Grandpa’s place, animals were teachers, and Saba quietly showed each child how to listen, care, and connect with the greater world around them through the animals.

Thanks to our Jr. Farmers, Saba's legacy lives on in every small heart that experiences the magic of 💕 Kfar Saba farm 💕
