Privacy Policy

Kfar Saba Urban Farm is a project of The Jewish Sanctuary Kfar Saba Urban Farm, a California nonprofit and 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 92-3007627) ("the Farm", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, book a visit, or call or text us, and what we do with it.
What we collect

We do not record phone conversations. Only voicemail messages you choose to leave are recorded.
When our text-message follow-up is active, we check whether a caller's number is a mobile or a landline number (through Twilio), so that we only send texts to mobile phones.
Why we use it
To take and manage your booking, and to contact you about it.
To answer your calls, voicemails, texts and emails.
If you call us and we miss the call, to send you one text with a link to book (at most once every 7 days, and only between 8 am and 9 pm Pacific). See our SMS Terms.
To keep the financial records the law requires of a nonprofit, and to prepare reports for our accountant.
To understand, in total numbers, how people find and book us (for example, how many calls became bookings).
We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and text-message consent collected for our text line are never shared with anyone except the providers that deliver the messages for us (listed below).
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers. They process your information only to provide their service to us:
Wix.com: our website, bookings, forms, payments, and the database for our call and message logs.
Wix Payments and its payment processor: card payments.
Twilio: our phone and text-message provider.
Google: our email (Gmail).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our visitors, volunteers and animals.
How long we keep it
Bookings and payments: as long as the law requires for a nonprofit's financial records.
Call and text logs: for as long as the Farm operates, as a record that every text we sent answered a call or a message.
Voicemail recordings: deleted after 90 days.
"STOP" (opt-out) records: kept permanently, so that we never text you again after you opt out.
Your choices and rights
Stop texts: reply STOP to any text from us. You will get one confirmation and no further texts. Reply START to resubscribe.
See, correct or delete your information: email kfarsabafarm@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days. We can delete most information on request. We will keep what the law requires us to keep (for example, payment records), and we keep your opt-out record so that we don't text you again.
Do Not Track: our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
Children
Our farm welcomes families, but our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Bookings, waivers and payments are made by a parent, guardian or other adult. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information online, email us and we will delete it.
California residents
This policy is intended to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). Whatever state you live in, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it, as described above. We do not sell personal information.
Security
We use reputable providers. Access to our logs is limited to the Farm's administrators, and our systems check that call and text data really comes from our phone provider. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If the changes are significant, we will say so on our home page.
